Founded in 2001, the company began with a simple focus: helping businesses communicate better. What started as early marketing and directory services soon evolved into technology-led communication platforms as mobile usage and enterprise needs began to grow.
In the early years, the company expanded into interactive media and business directories, laying the groundwork for scalable communication. By 2007, Helo.ai had begun building its own SMS and email platforms in-house — an early move that gave the team control over reliability, performance, and scale.
As mobile communication gained momentum, the company doubled down on infrastructure and innovation. Between 2009 and 2012, the platform expanded into voice, missed-call solutions, and direct telecom connectivity.
This period also brought industry recognition, including awards from:
- CNBC
- Red Herring Asia, and
- Rankings among India’s top small businesses
This was a validation of both the technology and the vision.
A key turning point came in 2013 with the launch of LiveTalkIndia, a live audio and voice engagement platform. It was used for large-scale public broadcasts and interactive engagement, pushing the boundaries of how voice communication could be used at scale. The same year also saw the introduction of iVote, a missed-call voting system widely adopted across television and social campaigns.

Over the next few years, the company continued to strengthen its capabilities and footprint. Multiple awards followed, including IDMA and ACEF recognitions for innovation and creativity in mobile marketing. By 2016, the organisation had moved into its own dedicated office space in Andheri, signalling long-term stability and growth.
The launch of Helo.ai marked the company’s transition into an AI-driven CPaaS platform — built to support omnichannel communication across SMS, WhatsApp, voice, RCS, and more. This shift aligned with changing customer expectations and the rise of conversational engagement.

Scale became a defining theme in the years that followed. In 2018, the company executed one of its largest operational milestones by setting up a call centre operation involving over 750 people within a month — a reflection of execution strength and enterprise trust.
From 2019 onwards, Helo.ai entered a new phase with the launch of WhatsApp Business API and RCS solutions, enabling richer, more interactive customer journeys for enterprises across banking, retail, utilities, travel, and telecom.
In 2024, the company received the Google Anchor Partner Award, made its debut at Global Fintech Fest, and was featured on DD News, marking growing recognition of its role in the enterprise communication ecosystem.
As Helo.ai enters its 25th year, the focus remains forward-looking. With the setup of its own data centre in 2025, the company continues to strengthen its infrastructure, security, and scale — preparing for the next phase of AI-led communication.
